Sparking Innovation at Rio Innovation Week
Ana Casaca, Global Head of Innovation at Galp, was invited to be a Keynote on the "Open Innovation" panel, where she presented her vision of the contribution of innovation to technological development and how Galp deals with open innovation processes, with Raphael Moura - Superintendent of Technology and Environment (STM/ANP).
The Head of Innovation highlighted Galp's vision of innovation as a path of continuous learning, the responsibility of the R&D area to support the execution of the strategy, the importance of diversity of thought, with teams from different backgrounds, and articulated: "To innovate is to seek, to learn and, above all, to create a culture of learning and collaboration, something fundamental on the road to decarbonisation". She then took part in a discussion about her career, her role as a visionary leader and her contribution to a sustainable future on the panel “Women in the energy sector.”
Marcella Mathias, Galp's RD&I project coordinator, took part in the panel "Innovation and Entrepreneurship: transforming talent training", highlighting the importance of ANP programmes such as the PRH (Human Resources Training Programme) in developing education, training professionals and encouraging investment by companies, as well as the R&D investment clause. Marcella highlights the need for companies and the ANP to work together to identify the sector's needs and labour gaps.
In addition, other Galp Innovation partners were invited to take part in the panels, presenting their projects and discussing the role of Brazilian companies in technological development and within the area.
