Galp boosts startup ecosystem at Building The Future 2025

On February 19 and 20, Lisbon hosted the 7th edition of Building The Future2025, Portugal's largest digital transformation event, where the main focus was on the role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) as an ally, rather than a threat. The event highlighted the potential of AI to enhance our skills and help amplify impact across all sectors.
Galp Upcoming Energies supported the Startup World stage, which focused on the challenges of accelerated growth, addressing topics such as entrepreneurship, decarbonization, AI ethics and the dilemmas of scaling up businesses, exploring opportunities and challenges for startups and scaleups.
Representing Galp, Manuel Andrade, Head of Open Innovation, was present at the launch of the Mission Carbon Zero -Lisbon Edition program, a cluster of entities linked to entrepreneurship and innovation that aims to contribute to transforming Lisbon into a carbon-neutral.
In addition, Carla Mendonça Tavares, Head of Renewables & Commercial Innovation Center at Galp, and Marco Serrão, Chief People & Spaces Officer at Galp, participated as speakers in the sessions “Driving Change: Electric Mobility Massification and Building Decarbonization” and “Responsible AI: Navigating Ethics, Bias and Accountability in the Digital Age”, respectively.
