COLMEIA IN.COMUNIDADE: Driving Sustainable Innovation through the Matosinhos community | Upcoming Energies

COLMEIA, a joint initiative between Galp and Matosinhos City Council, is the program that is shaping the future of the community, promoting innovation and social entrepreneurship to boost the energy transition in the region. 

During the COLMEIA IN.COMUNIDADE Bootcamp, participants had the opportunity to acquire new knowledge, expand their horizons and, above all, took the first step on their entrepreneurial journey. In the end, three winning projects were selected: 

Suntech Workflow - Innovative solution powered by AI technology, which analyzes and suggests optimized and efficient solutions to solar energy installation companies; 

Energia com vida - System of piezoelectric trampolines to convert the kinetic energy generated by people into electrical energy and distribute it wherever necessary; 

O Bairro - Initiative to install photovoltaic panels and energy supply in order to mitigate energy poverty in one of the most deprived neighborhoods in Matosinhos. 

These three projects will receive funding of respectively: 12.500€, 7.500€ and 5.000€. This value will be used to develop solutions.
