Galp supports the 2nd Edition of the Portuguese National Innovation Award
Galp was one of the main sponsors of the 2nd edition of the Portuguese National Innovation Award, reaffirming its commitment to innovation. Ana Casaca, Global Head of Innovation at Galp, was a judge in the Business Segment.
The final award event, which received 146 applications, is a platform that encourages technological development and digital transformation in organizations across Portugal.
In this year's edition, 16 awards were given, along with the Personality Award, won by Paulo Rosado (CEO of OutSystems), for his contribution to innovation in Portugal. Another highlight was the MTG Research and Development Lab, which won two awards in the categories "Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning" and "SME", thanks to the project "Full Cycle RWE Studies.".
Throughout the application period, Manuel Andrade, Head of Open Innovation at Galp, and Joana Larsen, Innovation Lead, were also part of debates on Innovation strategy with several Industry peers to raise awareness for the award.
The National Innovation Award is an initiative by Negócios, BPI, and Claranet, with sponsorship from Galp, partnership from Cascais as an innovation municipality, Nova SBE as a knowledge partner, and institutional support from ANI – National Innovation Agency and COTEC Portugal. With the success of this edition, the Portuguese National Innovation Award continues its mission to identify and recognize the most innovative projects shaping the future of institutions in Portugal.
