Galp and Nova University Lisbon Pioneer Interdisciplinary Energy Research Community
Galp and Nova University Lisbon are creating the University’s first interdisciplinary "Sustainable Energy Systems" research community.

The community will promote, over the next three years, the development of new solutions in the field of clean and renewable energies across students, faculty, and researchers in a multidisciplinary way. The first initiative has kicked-off with a workshop that brought together 25+ researchers from all the organic units at Nova (e.g. SBE; FCSH; Law; FCT; IMS), to begin exploring three challenges relevant for Galp: Biomethane; second-life batteries, and renewables value chain. Manuel Andrade and João Ribeiro from Galp's Open Innovation team were present, alongside with challenge experts Inês Marques, Pedro Ferreira and Ioana Ratiu. A follow up workshop will happen in January.
